Transitive verbs specify action directed to the object. This object is expressed by form of the accusative case without preposition. Foe example: читать книгу, принести газету, перевести статью, увидеть друга.

All the other verbs are intransitive. Nominally intransitivity is shown by the particle СЯ (встретиться, мыться), by suffix Е (болеть, краснеть).
